We hope you come back regularly to catch up with our news!
Supeta was established in the early 1980’s and the affix is owned by myself - Sue, and my husband Pete Mycroft and recently our daughter Fiona who has joined the affix for the Whippets.
From a young age Pete has always had Whippets which as a teenager he raced. I decided to buy Pete a Whippet when Fiona was a baby as has always loved them and we clearly also caught the bug too. Since buying Pete 'Tulu' we have always had a Whippet in the house and it wouldn't be the same without them. Fiona has always shown the Whippets since she was 6 in both the handling and the breed at local open shows and we have made the trips to the champ shows where possible. Untill recent years we haven't been as involved in the show scene with the Whippets as the Hound group and Working group are on seperate days at the Champ shows and its almost impossible to do 2 days but since Fiona has been driving she has been able to make more of the Whippet days whilst we show the Dobes!
We have always had success with our Whippets in the show ring. Our first CC win with a Whippet was ' Supeta's Caught'cha Wishin' ' who was handled by Pete. Untill this day he brags he's only shown a Whippet once and won a CC so he feels he must retire! Shelley was a beautiful bitch and was everything we had bred for in a Whippet bitch and she ended up with 1CC and 2RCC's. Shelley's daughter Maddie 'Supeta's Loverlee' who is Fionas pet then produced us our first Whippet champion Peppa 'Ch Supeta's Bootilicious Babe ShCM' who currently stands on 7 CC's. Peppa has been shown by Fiona who has piloted her to all of her main awards. Peppa hasn't been campaigned much throughout 2010 due to having a litter who are known as the 'licious' litter. This litter made their debut at LKA 2010 earning places in all their classes. We look forward to showing our babies and hope all our friends with Supeta puppies the best of luck for 2011!
